WHO: Senator Blanche Lincoln touring the new $2 million Office and Visitor Center This tour will help highlight public awareness of the upcoming 1st Annual White River Wildlife Festival on Saturday, October 11, 2003. The ribbon cutting of the new Visitor Center Dedication Ceremony for the new $2 million Visitor Center and Office Complex will be at 10:00 a.m on Saturday Oct. 11, 2003. The First Annual White River Wildlife Festival will offer a host of free activities from Noon to 5:00 p.m, including free boat rides, wildlife demonstrations, bird house and birdfeeder building, as well as guided walks by the experts. The event highlights the Centennial of the National Wildlife Refuge System with performances by an impressionist of President Theodore Roosevelt, founder of the National Wildlife Refuge System, and the United States Postal Service B Special Collectible Cancellation Station of the Pelican Island NWR Commemorative Stamp and the 2003 Federal Duck Stamp, as well as the 2003 Arkansas Jr. Duck Stamp Art Contest Display.
